Getting Rid of Split Ends or Unrepairable Hair
Holding on to split ends or hair that has been damaged to the point of no repair is harmful to the hair. Because hair is already considered dead once it comes out of the scalp, once hair has been damaged or split, there is no way to repair it. It many give off the impression to you and others that you have long locks, but they would be unhealthy locks and with a closer look, it will be noticeable.
The longer you keep split ends, the more damage you are doing to your hair as split ends tend to move up the hair shaft. It is important to get rid of split ends either through a trim or a drastic hair cut. There are no other way to eliminate split hair or damaged hair other to completely get rid of it and start fresh. No product on the market will eliminate hair that is already split. Most products can reduce the exposure to split hair and help restore dry hair or hair that may seem damaged but is really just lacking moisture.
On your journey to healthy hair, it is important to start fresh by removing damage that has been done to the hair and continue on from there. Once all split ends and unrepairable hair caused by chemicals and dye jobs are gone, it will be easier to continue nurturing healthy hair.
