How To Naturally Highlight Your Hair Safely

For many, natural is the way to go.  So is there a way to get highlights without applying chemicals to your hair follicles? Yes.

Using Lemon Juice  (You must be a blonde or quite close to it for this to work. If your hair is brown it will only turn your hair orange)

- Mix lemon juice in a spray bottle with a small amount of water and spray unto the parts of your hair you want highlighted. Stay in the sun and leave on for at least two hours, if not more depending on how dark your hair is.

-Then condition the hair to keep hair from drying

Using Olive Oil

Not only is olive oil good for conditioning, it is also good for highlighting.

- Apply a generous amount of olive oil to the hair you want highlighted

-Spend about 2 hours in the sun

-Rinse out the oil

-Now your hair is not only naturally highlighted but also well moisturized

-Repeat every 3 days till you reach the color you desire

Chamomile Tea

With this method brunettes can get natural golden highlights.

-Boil chamomile tea and let it cool.

-Apply the tea to your hair after your hair has been completely washed and conditioned.

-Keep the tea drenched in your hair for 2 hours

-Continue to do this until you have acheived you desired color

Honey

Honey is not just for tea, but can also be used for highlights. Honey gives a lot of natural highlights and bounce

-Apply honey directly on the portions of the hair you want to highlight and leave on for 2 hours in the sun

-You can also mix honey with lemon and water and apply it to damp hair and spend 2 hours out in the sun

-Make sure you wash hair out twice as honey is hard to get out

Beer

Beer such as a Corona ( any light colored beer) is great for adding color to your tresses.

- Apply a large amount of beer to your hair and let it sit in the sun for 2 hours

- Then condition your hair with a moisturizing conditioner.

- Repeat this process 2-3 times a week for your desired color.
