Oprah and Her Celebrity Hair Stylists Dos and Don’ts Secrets
Oprah Winfrey recently had a round table discussion with some of the best celebrity hairstylist to discuss some do’s and don’ts when it comes to hair care. Sitting in on her discussion was the fabulous five: Ken Paves, Kimberly Kimble, Rita Hazan, Ted Gibson and Harry Josh.
The Round Table Dos and Don’ts:
Ken Paves is in the business of making women look and feel good at any age. Keeping the same hairstyle for years is never a good thing. He suggests switching it up from time to time and taking chances and risks with hair.
Harry Josh suggest “a do” in hair styling, is getting over the adage of the older you get the shorter your hair needs to be. He advises now that we are seeing ’40 as being the new 20,’ getting older does not have to mean that you must have shorter hair. Longer hair actually can add youth to a look depending on the look and cut.
Ted Gibson and Rita Hazan believe in playing with hair color and keeping up with it. Whenever you have hair color applied to your hair, keep up with the roots about every one to two months. Coloring the whole hair again is not necessary and can cause damage over time.
Kimberly Kimble says it is a must for women with extensions and braids to add moisture to there hair. Hot oil treatments are important in removing extensions and braids because if it is not applied, hair will look clunky and greasy.
