When entering a salon one of the many things customers first like to mention is an appropriate hair color that goes with how there feeling and what compliments there facial features. A great hair color can really create wonders for your entire look. While beauty is redefined time and time again, many of us an play and experiment with different looks using a variety of hair color to express how we feel and want to look for the moment. Through hair color we can look younger, or have a more sultry look. It gives anyone a sense of higher confidence if the customer is happy with the look. When selecting a shade of hair color at a salon, there area many crucial factors to consider such as the type of cut and style of the hair, complimenting facial expressions, complexion, eye color, hair length, face cut and just personal taste. There are four major types of hair colors to consider when choosing a hair color right for you that also focuses on the length the hair color will stay and how it impacts the hair follicle itself.
The four main hair colors are:
-Temporary colors: they devoid from ammonia and peroxides. With temporary colors , they fade after a single shampoo.
-Semi Permanent Colors: These colors fade away after a week or a month and are used by those who have nearly 20-25% of gray hairs.
-Demi permanent Hair Colors: These contain a small amount of ammonia and peroxide and last about 2-3 months
-Permanent Hair Colors: These contain high levels of peroxides and ammonia. This color hits the core of the hair (the cortex) and requires application after every 4-6 months. Permanent Hair Colors last much longer.
With any of these four choices, it is best to consultant with a salon professional when applying hair color to achieve the desired results without any harmful damage to the hair.
