What Causes Hair to be Dull and Without Shine?
There are several things to consider when asking yourself why your hair might be dull and lackluster. For example, those who find themselves shampooing every day or every other day or even twice a week , may experience dull and lackluster hair. Those who do this may experience dryness and dullness since shampoo tends to strip away natural oils and product build up. The problem with this is that the natural oils are produced for the hair to be able to shine and stay moisturized. Depending on your hair type, if you naturally have extra oily hair, you may want to wash every three days. If your hair gets dried easily, you may want to wash your hair less frequently to avoid stripping away your natural oils.
Another reason why hair might be dull and without shine…
May be due to heating appliances. Hair is made up of protein and is already considered dead once it emerges from your scalp. Using heating appliance on a consistent basis without using a heat protectant will definitely fry your hair and even cause it to break. This will lead to hair that does not seem like it is growing (for those who want to grow there hair long) as well as produce extremely dry and brittle tresses with no shine.
Using shampoos, heating appliances and chemicals sparing and with caution, can lead to much healthier hair that can produce hair that is alive and full of shine.
