Why Does My Hair Fall Out?
There are a number of reasons why people experience hair loss that may not seem normal to them. Hair falling out can be due to malnutrition, illness, tension, or health related problems. Be sure to rule out that you are on a perfectly healthy diet and /or there are no unexpected illnesses you are experiencing.
Other reasons for hair falling out include but are not limited to consistent perming, straightening, bleaching, hair dying, hot combing, and heated rollers. All of these reasons are geared towards extensive chemical treatments or too much exposure to heating appliances.
It is also important to understand the difference between hair falling out and hair shedding. It is natural to lose about 100 strands a day. That is the average number that people shed a day. If you do not comb out or brush your hair on a daily basis, you may see a lot more hair coming out of your head the day you do decide to comb or brush your hair due to those days when your hair was shedding but never really brushed out.
If lowering the amount of heat and chemicals being applied to your hair does not cease your hair to fall out, consult your doctor for additional hair care tips.
