Question:  My hair is very curly and course. I would like to have my hair straight from time to time and was wondering if I blow dried my hair once each week, will it damage my hair?

Answer:  Blow drying your hair every week can and will damage your hair. The heat will damage your hair cuticles and eventually cause breakage. It is suggested if you are to blow dry your hair try doing it twice a month or once a month instead of after every wash or every week. Make sure you always use a  thermal heat protectant when applying heat to your hair. Also always dry your hair about 85%-90% and let the rest of your hair air dry. Make sure you use a cool setting when trying to dry your hair. All these tips will help you save your strands and reduce breakage.
